What is a Boomerang Tag:

A Boomerang Tag is a small tag that is attached to a valuable item. The Tag is printed with a unique ID number and information alerting the finder to call the Boomerang Tag Service Centre to arrange the return of the item. 

Boomerang Tag will then collect the item from the finder, present them with a reward as a thank you for their co-operation and return the item to the owner.

Why will people bother to call to report they have found an item: 

Research has shown that most people will make some effort to find the owner of a lost item if they can. The problem comes when the finder cant easily find the owner in the close vicinity. What do they do then?

Research has also shown that up to 80% of people will make a phone call to report a found time as this does not inconvenience them. Interestingly, research also shows that the possibility of a reward is not a significant factor for people to make a simple phone call. Its a nice touch, but its not crucial.


How do you retrieve my lost item?

Boomerang Tag collects the lost item from the finder and returns it to the owner. The item is under our control from the moment it is collected to the moment it is returned to the owner.


How long does it take to get my lost item back?

This depends on a number of factors, where the item has been found, availability of the finder and the owner etc. If the item has been lost interstate or overseas it will take longer than if it has been lost in the same city. Whichever the situation, Boomerang Tag will always ensure to retrieve and return the time as quickly as possible.


Will you let me know if a lost item has been found?

Yes, as soon as it is reported found we will contact you to let you know and give you information about the expected retrieval time frames.


Why can’t I collect it myself?

Due to privacy regulations it is not possible to disclose the name or contact information of the finder. Boomerang Tag will collect the item, verify ownership through its data base and return.


How much does it cost?

Boomerang Tag operates as a subscription membership program. Each Boomerang Tag pack contains a number of Tags. Each tag has a unique number. When you purchase a pack of Tag’s there is a one off membership set up, administration and handling charge. This varies depending on the Tag Pack you purchase. Each Tag Pack then has a one year membership for all of the tags purchased. The membership fee also varies depending on the level of Tag Pack you purchase.  At the end of the twelve months the membership is automatically renewed for a further 12 months. The cost of renewing the membership and a reminder will be sent to you by email prior to renewal. You then have the option of cancelling the renewal.


Is Boomerang Tag guaranteed to find and return my lost items?

No, sadly there is no guarantee that a lost item will be found and reported. However, without Boomerang Tag there is virtually no chance of getting your lost items back. With Boomerang Tag there is a good chance that if the item is found, the finder will call us and then you will get the lost item back.


What can I attach my Boomerang Tag’s to?

Just about anything. There are different Tag types for different uses. The Key Tags attach with a ring to any key type item (keyrings, bags, Flash Drives etc) the self adhesive Flexi-Tags attach to just about anything else. If you have a valuable item you would not like to lose then attach a Boomerang Tag today!
